introducing
comm-ish-ons
okay, so here’s the deal…
Over the past few years, it’s been a bit of a struggle to find the right balance with commissions. I wish I could say yes to each and every opportunity, but I’m finding that when I do, it doesn’t leave time to create any of my own work to sell to the general public/turn into prints and products. My original plan was to do away with commissions entirely (I know…the worst), but THEN I had an idea. What if I created a space where you could submit your favorite reference photos that you’d love to see me paint. If I choose your photo to paint from, there is absolutely zero obligation to purchase the painting, but you’d get first dibs. :) And if you decide to pass on it, I promise I will not be offended in the slightest and will just put it up for sale on the website for everyone else.
So therefore, it’s a commission-ish. A comm-ish-on. Get it?! I KNOW, IT’S SO CLEVER.
So if you’ve got a favorite place in mind that you’ve always wanted to see me paint, scroll on down and submit your photos (up to 5 images are allowed with each submission). Thank you for sharing your favorite places and photos with me!
want to throw your hat into the ring for a comm-ish-on?
Submit your reference photo below, and there’s a chance I’ll turn it into an original painting! I’ll reach out via email if your photo is chosen and give you the first opportunity to purchase the painting. Again, there is absolutely ZERO obligation to purchase. By submitting your photos below, you give me the right to use them as a reference for original artwork that may eventually be sold on prints and products. Thank you…I look forward to seeing your beautiful images!
wait, one more thing…
If you’re wanting the look of original artwork and you don’t have time to wait/hope for your reference photo to be chosen, one other option that I always like to recommend is embellished prints. You can purchase ANY print in my print shop, get it printed on canvas at whatever sized you’d like (yes, custom sizes are available upon request!), add a float frame, and I’ll paint directly on top of the canvas to give the look and feel of an original painting. They truly look exactly like original artwork at a fraction of the cost. Just select “yes” for embellishment with the drop-down menus in my print shop. Or as always, feel free to reach out with any questions.
I hope that between “comm-ish-ons” and embellished prints, I can bring your vision to life. :)
